Binnen de radiologische praktijk, als onderdeel van het bredere ziekenhuisproces, leidt versnipperde toegang tot protocollen, richtlijnen en simulatiecontent tot inefficiëntie en verhoogde afhankelijkheid van werkbegeleiders. Terwijl digitale leeroplossingen toenemen, ontbreekt een infrastructuur die deze kennis direct beschikbaar maakt tijdens taakuitvoering in de klinische werkomgeving. Dit project ontwikkelt daarom een interoperabele AI-ondersteunde infrastructuurcomponent die leren en werken binnen radiologische workflows structureel met elkaar verbindt en overdraagbaar is naar andere klinische afdelingen. Het consortium van Xprtise (penvoerder), Erasmus MC en LeQuest realiseert een AI-assistent die gevalideerde kennisbronnen – zoals protocollen, richtlijnen, e-learningmodules en digitale simulaties – contextueel ontsluit binnen de workflow van zorgprofessionals. De oplossing wordt ontwikkeld volgens open architectuurprincipes, zodat koppeling met bestaande systemen mogelijk blijft en vendor lock-in wordt voorkomen. Binnen radiologisch afgebakende toepassingsrichtingen wordt de AI-assistent geïntegreerd in bestaande radiologische workflows en getest in een realistische werkomgeving, gericht op procedurele ondersteuning en taakuitvoering tijdens het gebruik van apparatuur. Effecten worden gemeten op onder andere zoektijd, ervaren zelfstandigheid en gebruik. Het project brengt een bestaand prototype van TRL 5 naar TRL 7, inclusief experimentele validatie binnen het DUTCH Experimental Lab. Het resultaat is een herbruikbare digitale infrastructuurcomponent die simulatieonderwijs structureel integreert in veilig en efficiënt handelen binnen de radiologische praktijk.

eX:plain is een toonaangevende, onafhankelijke stichting voor het ontwikkelen, afnemen en valideren van examens en vakbekwaamheid. Samen met SimX ICC, een door clinici ontwikkeld VR-simulatieplatform, bundelen zij hun krachten met LUMC, ErasmusMC en de HAN om een innovatieve manier van leren in de operatiekamer te ontwikkelen. Dit consortium zet een nieuwe standaard in OK‑onderwijs. Met ons simulatieonderwijs krijgen cursisten een bewezen effectieve leerervaring die zij zelfstandig kunnen doorlopen – zonder OK‑ruimte, planning of begeleiding. Deze digitale trainingen versnellen aantoonbaar de leercurve, vervangen een deel van het praktijkonderwijs en verlagen de druk op zorg- en onderwijsinstellingen. De simulaties vergroten bovendien de opleidingscapaciteit: cursisten kunnen altijd en overal trainen, waardoor zorgonderwijs toegankelijker wordt voor grotere groepen, zij‑instromers en medewerkers die zich omscholen. Dankzij de modulaire opbouw voegen we eenvoudig scenario’s, EPA’s en apparatuur toe, zodat de leeromgeving meegroeit met de praktijk. Cursisten kunnen zowel laag‑ als hoog‑complexe handelingen veilig oefenen. De onderwijskwaliteit stijgt zichtbaar. Cursisten raken vertrouwd met de omgeving, materialen en procedures en stappen met meer basiskennis en zelfvertrouwen de OK binnen. Onze partners testen en valideren modules in de praktijk, waardoor we overtuigend aantonen dat onze innovatieve vorm van simulatieonderwijs het leerrendement verhoogt én de opleidingsdruk verlaagt.

Het consortium bestaande uit Rods&Cones (penvoerder), TrueSim, TrainR Group (TrainR), SIMtoCARE, Erasmus MC en Leiden UMC (LUMC) ontwikkelt een samenhangende totaaloplossing ('product') voor luchtwegmanagement binnen de DUTCH product Call. Het project sluit aan bij de SIMO's “VR Beoordelen Luchtweg” en "Fysieke fantoom luchtweg training" en de behoeften van de zorgpartners. Het project is gericht op EPA 5, 11 en 19 voor anesthesie medewerkers. Het product ondersteunt de volledige leerlijn: van systematische luchtwegbeoordeling en besluitvorming in XR, via AI-gestuurde interacties, naar uitvoering van luchtweginterventies op zowel een fysieke simulator met haptische feedback als een bestaand fysiek fantoom verrijkt met MR. Met inzet van telepresence voor begeleiding en opschaling. Het product wordt modulair ontwikkeld en voldoet aan de DUTCH vereisten voor interoperabiliteit (xAPI, LTI, federatieve authenticatie) en aansluiting op de HOSA-architectuur. Erasmus MC en Leiden UMC verzorgen co-creatie, validatie en implementatie in de onderwijs- en zorgpraktijk. Leiden UMC voert daarnaast onderzoek uit naar effectiviteit, impact en valorisatie. Het project resulteert in een product dat zich bevindt op TRL 7-8, een opschaalbaar, herbruikbaar leer- en trainingsconcept dat bijdraagt aan vervanging van praktijkuren door hoogwaard ige simulatie en versterking van de Opleidingscapaciteit binnen het DUTCH-ecosysteem.

Met het project SBAR(R) in XR ontwikkelen Aryzon.World en Christelijke Hogeschool Ede een XR-trainingsmodulevoor gestructureerde communicatie in de zorg. Dankzij het no-code/low-code platform van Aryzon.World kunnen zorgpartners zelf realistische XR-trainingen bouwen, aanpassen en delen – zonder technische kennis. De module gebruikt conversational AI voor levendige gesprekssimulaties en is gekoppeld aan bestaande leersystemen, waardoor leerresultaten meetbaar en overdraagbaar zijn. ln vrijwel alle zorgsectoren wordt hiervoor gewerkt met de SBAR(R)-methode. ln de praktijk blijkt echter dat toepassing onder tijdsdruk en stress niet altijd consequent verloopt. Dit vraagt in het opleidingstraject om veeI en gevarieerde oefening, waar Virtual Reality een waardevolle rol kan spelen. Veel bestaande XR-oplossingen zijn losse, dedicated applicaties. Hierdoor moet per training opnieuw ontwikkeld, getest en aangepast worden, vaak met specialistische ICT-kennis. Wijzigingen in protocollen, doelgroepen of scenario’s vereisen opnieuw maatwerk, wat opschaling bemoeilijkt, kosten verhoogt en kennisdeling tussen partners belemmert. Het project verbetert niet alleen de patiëntveiligheid door betere communicatie, maar biedt ook een schaalbare oplossing voor andere zorgcontexten en methoden. Aryzon.World zorgt met zijn platform voor toegankelijkheid, flexibiliteit en kostenbesparing, terwijl kennis en templates breed gedeeld worden binnen het DUTCH-netwerk en daarbuiten. Binnen dit project wordt allereerst een prototype gebouwd van de SBAR(R)-module, uitvoerig getest bij Christelijke Hogeschool Ede/ValleiLab, Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei en Opella. Co-creatie staat hierin centraal. Hierin wordt conversational AI geïntegreerd en drie scenario’s uitgewerkt. Leerdata wordt volgens de xAPI standaard gestructureerd en voorbereid op LTI en SSO koppelingen om interoperabiliteit te waarborgen. Integratie met SURF SimuLearn ondersteunt brede ontsluiting binnen het onderwijs en co-creatie en samenwerking met partners. Aryzon.World is sinds het ontstaan van het initiatief SimuLearn binnen SURF al betrokken bij advisering en co-creatie. Het aansluiten is voor ons daarom logisch en waardevol in het kader van DUTCH.

Dit project heeft als doel studenten operatieassistenten, anesthesiemedewerkers en gediplomeerde zorgprofessionals sneller en effectiever voor te bereiden en onboarden voor het werken in het ziekenhuis. Nieuwe medewerkers ervaren vaak een kloof tussen theorie en praktijk, wat leidt tot extra werkdruk voor praktijkbegeleiders. Voor gediplomeerde medewerkers richt de oplossing zich specifiek op ondersteuning in de directe werkomgeving. Het DUTCH Onboarding-project wil de overgang van theorie naar praktijk en het inwerken in het ziekenhuis versoepelen met slimme digitale ondersteuning. Het consortium bestaat uit Incision (penvoerder), het Wenckebach Instituut, Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen en het Martini Ziekenhuis. Samen combineren zij expertise in zorgonderwijs, praktijkopleiden en educatieve technologie. Binnen het project wordt een contextgerichte digitale leeromgeving ontwikkeld waarin AI centraal staat. Gebruikers krijgen toegang tot een app met een virtuele AI-werkbegeleider waarmee zij kunnen interacteren via chat. Op basis van het gebruikersprofiel, de fase van onboarding en praktijkdata biedt de AI gepersonaliseerde, just-in-time leerondersteuning, zoals protocollen, instructievideo’s en procedure-informatie. Via dashboards krijgen zowel gebruikers als begeleiders inzicht in voortgang en kennishiaten. De interoperabele oplossing is schaalbaar, uitbreidbaar naar andere doelgroepen en koppelbaar aan het DUTCH-platform, inclusief integratie van andere trainingsvormen zoals VR.

Het samenwerkingsverband IMPACT Immersive Patient Communication Training ontwikkelt een VR-leerlijn waarmee toekomstige operatieassistenten, anesthesiemedewerkers en radiodiagnostisch laboranten leren communiceren met patiënten. Deelnemers zijn The Simulation Crew (penvoerder), Warp VR, VR Bieb, Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, Hogeschool InHolland, Tergooi Medisch Centrum en Haaglanden Medisch Centrum. De leerlijn bestaat uit twee modules. In de eerste module (Bewustwording) ervaart de student via interactieve 360°-video hoe een ziekenhuisbezoek voelt vanuit het perspectief van de patiënt, en observeert vervolgens het gesprek vanuit het perspectief van de zorgverlener. AI[1]gestuurde feedback helpt de student reflecteren op wat effectieve communicatie is. In de tweede module (Toepassing) oefent de student actieve gesprekken met AI-gestuurde virtuele patiënten die reageren op wat de student zegt. Een AI-coach biedt tijdens het oefenen gepersonaliseerde ondersteuning op basis van de leerresultaten uit beide modules. Het project levert 22 gespreksscenario's in oplopende complexiteit, gevalideerd met minimaal 60 studenten en in het DUTCH Experimental Lab. De leerlijn vergroot de opleidingscapaciteit, vermindert de praktijkdruk en biedt uniforme, gestandaardiseerde kwaliteit voor OA, AM en RDL. De modules zijn daarnaast inzetbaar voor nascholing van gediplomeerde zorgprofessionals. Resultaten worden gedeeld binnen het DUTCH-netwerk als herbruikbare blauwdruk voor communicatietraining in het zorgonderwijs.

Dit project heeft, in lijn met de DUTCH doelstellingen, als doel de opleiding en deskundigheidsontwikkeling van operatieassistenten (en later anesthesiemedewerkers) binnen academische ziekenhuizen structureel te versterken door praktijkkennis digitaal vast te leggen en schaalbaar beschikbaar te maken. Door technologie in te zetten als versneller wordt kennis niet langer beperkt door fysieke aanwezigheid, lokale opleidingscapaciteit of individuele begeleiders, maar breed inzetbaar voor opleiding, voorbereiding en herhaling. Centraal staat de ontwikkeling van een laagdrempelige content-sharing product waarmee praktijkervaringen uit de operatiekamer eenvoudig kunnen worden vastgelegd en gedeeld. Hierdoor blijft cruciale kennis niet langer lokaal of persoonsgebonden, maar kan deze netwerkbreed worden benut ter ondersteuning van het opleiden van (toekomstige) operatieassistenten (en later andere beroepsgroepen). Dit maakt het mogelijk om opleidingskwaliteit te verhogen én gelijktijdig de opleidingsinspanning per begeleider te verlagen. De innovatie zit in de manier waarop opleidingsrelevante kennis wordt ontsloten: academische centra (en in het volgende stadium alle ziekenhuizen) krijgen inzicht in welke expertise en leercontent elders beschikbaar is en kunnen deze gericht inzetten binnen hun eigen opleidingsprogramma’s. Met name kennis over hoogcomplexe en zeldzame chirurgische procedures — die studenten en beginnende operatieassistenten slechts beperkt in de praktijk tegenkomen — kan zo structureel worden vastgelegd en herhaald worden aangeboden. Dit draagt bij aan een gelijker opleidingsniveau, betere voorbereiding en snellere competentieontwikkeling. Door de combinaties van UMCs, inclusief hun opleidingsinstituten, en techpartners bundelt dit consortium expertise op het gebied van praktijkopleiden, onderwijsinnovatie, educatieve technologie en hoogwaardige videorecording om een digitale leeromgeving te ontwikkelen die expliciet is ingericht ter ondersteuning van het opleiden van operatieassistenten (en anesthesiemedewerkers). Zorgprofessionals kunnen zelf praktijkopnames maken met een gespecialiseerde hoofdcamera, waarna deze user-generated content door Incision wordt omgezet in didactisch onderbouwd en schaalbaar lesmateriaal dat herhaald en instellingsoverstijgend kan worden ingezet. Hierdoor wordt relevante opleidingscontent contextgericht beschikbaar gesteld op het moment dat een operatieassistent (in opleiding) deze nodig heeft. Zo ondersteunt het project niet alleen kennisdeling, maar draagt het concreet bij aan efficiënter, consistenter en toekomstbestendig opleiden van operatieassistenten met behulp van technologie.

De zorgsector kampt met een acuut tekort aan gespecialiseerd personeel, zoals operatieassistenten (OA) en anesthesiemederwerkers AM. De huidige opleiding is sterk afhankelijk van schaarse praktijkuren op de operatiekamer en intensieve begeleiding. Dit beperkt de opleidingscapaciteit en verhoogt de werkdruk. Dit project binnen Werkstroom 1 van de DUTCH Open Call ontwikkelt en valideert een hybride, EPA-gericht simulatieprogramma voor OA en AM in Nederland en het Caribisch gebied. Amsterdam UMC (Amstel Academie) treedt op als penvoerder en is verantwoordelijk voor curriculumontwikkeling, didactische inbedding en onderwijskundige evaluatie. Rods&Cones Sales B.V. (Rods&Cones) levert en integreert telepresence-technologie (o.a. smart glasses en 360°-video) binnen de simulatieomgeving. Studenten kunnen gelijktijdig deelnemen, observeren en gestructureerde peer-feedback geven, ook op afstand. De innovatie ligt niet in een nieuw technologisch product, maar in de vernieuwende toepassing en doorontwikkeling van bestaande telepresence-technologie binnen een gestructureerd EPA[1]curriculum. Het project kwalificeert als experimentele ontwikkeling: bestaande technologie wordt geïntegreerd, getest en geoptimaliseerd in een realistische (inter)nationale onderwijsomgeving, waaronder het DUTCH Experimental Lab. Beoogde resultaten zijn vijf gevalideerde simulatiescenario’s, aantoonbare verbetering van leeruitkomsten, minimaal 30% meer gelijktijdige deelname en een overdraagbare implementatieblauwdruk. Hiermee ontstaat een schaalbare, reproduceerbare methodiek die bijdraagt aan de DUTCH-ambitie om praktijkuren verantwoord te vervangen door hoogwaardig simulatieonderwijs.

MEDICAL X (D2D Holding BV) ontwikkelt samen met 4DR STUDIOS en MTAS BV een hybride simulatiesysteem voor intraveneuze toepassingen bij anesthesiemedewerkers in opleiding. Het systeem bestaat uit twee geïntegreerde modules. Voor medicatiebereiding en -toediening worden 360°-videomodules met keuzemomenten ontwikkeld, opgenomen in een reële operatiekameromgeving vanuit first-person perspectief. Studenten oefenen zo het klaarzetten en bereiden van parenterale medicatie conform de officiële SiMO-richtlijnen. Voor bloedafname en het inbrengen van een perifeer infuus wordt een fysieke, sensor-gestuurde fantoomarm gekoppeld aan een virtuele holografische patiënt via XR. De lerende voert een echte venapunctie uit in de fysieke arm, terwijl een video-realistische 3D-persoon — geen animatie maar een volumetrisch opgenomen 'echt mens' dankzij de hologramexpertise van 4DR STUDIOS — realtime reageert op techniek, communicatie en protocoluitvoering. Het systeem meet punctiehoek, insteekdiepte, druk, buisvolgorde en aseptisch handelen, en koppelt deze gegevens via xAPI aan een digitaal leerportfolio. De innovatie wordt getest in een DUTCH Experimental Lab en gevalideerd op leerwinst, gebruiksvriendelijkheid en betrouwbaarheid. Het project The Open-Source DUTCH 3D Asset Library doorbreekt de huidige versnippering in medische XR-ontwikkeling. SyncVR Medical, 360Fabriek, SenseGlove en Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) bouwen een nationale, open bibliotheek inclusief infrastructuur voor 3D-modellen, die zowel binnen als buiten DUTCH de ontwikkeling van OK-gerelateerde simulaties gaat accelereren. Het doel is om een gedeelde bibliotheek te creëren waarmee simulaties sneller, goedkoper en kwalitatief consistenter ontwikkeld worden. We realiseren 100 hoogwaardige, medisch gevalideerde 3D-assets van instrumenten en apparatuur. Hiervan worden 50 assets volledig interactief gemaakt en krijgen 25 assets een unieke haptische laag voor realistische fysieke feedback. Door de integratie van xAPI-data zijn leerprestaties direct meetbaar in de DUTCH-verkeerstoren. Dit resultaat wordt behaald via een innovatieve pipeline van 3D-scanning, fotogrammetrie en Generative AI voor slimme optimalisatie. MST waarborgt hierbij de klinische precisie en validatie in de praktijk. Dankzij deze centrale bibliotheek kunnen ontwikkelaars de ontwikkeltijd van nieuwe XR-trainingen met 30% tot 60% verkorten, wat direct bijdraagt aan de transformatie van het zorgonderwijs.

In Nederlandse ziekenhuizen is een groot tekort aan operatieassistenten. Hierdoor staan zowel de opleiding als de dagelijkse praktijk onder druk. Studenten krijgen minder mogelijkheden om in de operatiekamer te oefenen, terwijl goed getrainde operatieassistenten essentieel zijn voor veilige en efficiënte zorg. In dit project ontwikkelen zorgprofessionals van het LUMC samen met opleiders en operatieassistenten uit verschillende ziekenhuizen, een nieuwe Artificial Intelligence (AI) en Virtual Reality (VR)-simulator. Met deze simulator kunnen studenten en professionals veilig oefenen met het herkennen en hanteren van chirurgische instrumenten en het opdekken van operatietafels. De VR-omgeving is gebaseerd op driedimensionale (3D-) scans van echte instrumenten en ziet eruit als een realistische operatiekamer. Naast het realistische gevoel kunnen gebruikers onbeperkt trainen op hun eigen tempo, zonder dat dit de drukte op de operatiekamer (OK) beïnvloedt. De simulator geeft directe en begrijpelijke feedback, waardoor studenten stapsgewijs beter worden. Aan het einde van het project is er een volledig werkende en wetenschappelijk geteste VR-simulator. In wetenschappelijk onderzoek wordt bekeken of gebruikers sneller en beter leren dan met de huidige opleidingsmethoden. Daarmee draagt het project bij aan betere opleidingen, minder werkdruk en toekomstbestendige zorgprofessionals. Dit sluit nauw aan bij de doelen van DUTCH omtrent onderwijsinnovatie en simulatie in de zorg.

Het doel van dit project is de ontwikkeling van een Virtuele AI Werkbegeleider die zorgstudenten en - professionals gepersonaliseerde, digitale begeleiding biedt tijdens simulaties en werkplekleren. Dit speelt in op het groeiende tekort aan praktijkbegeleiders en de hoge werkdruk in de zorg. Door gebruik te maken van binnen CoVince bestaande en mogelijk nieuw toe te voegen AI-gestuurde adaptieve feedback en data-integratie uit simulatiemodules, LMS en andere bronnen, zorgt het prototype voor efficiëntere begeleiding, waardoor praktijkopleiders ontlast worden, hoger leerrendement, doordat studenten en professionals real-time, op maat gemaakte ondersteuning krijgen, schaalbare en toegankelijke digitale ondersteuning, die aansluit op bestaande zorgopleidingen en werkprocessen.

Deze pilot van Zuyd Hogeschool in Heerlen richt zich op de verdere doorontwikkeling en integratie van simulation-based learning in de perioperatieve zorgopleiding. Tot nu toe werd vooral gewerkt met low-fidelity simulatoren en papieren casussen, terwijl high-fidelity simulatie pas later in het curriculum en extern plaatsvond. Met de inzet van de Susie S2000-simulator en VR-modules wordt onderzocht hoe realistische, levensechte scenario’s kunnen bijdragen aan sterker klinisch redeneren, betere samenwerking en een soepelere overgang naar de praktijk.

Simulaties in XR, 2D en fysiek maken het mogelijk om op een effectieve en schaalbare manier vaardigheden te trainen, waardoor de werkdruk op werkbegeleiders kan afnemen. Dit beoogde effect wordt echter alleen bereikt wanneer studenten en zorgmedewerkers simulaties zelfstandig kunnen gebruiken, geautomatiseerde persoonlijke feedback kunnen krijgen en begeleid worden in het leertraject. Daarbij is een coachende houding essentieel voor het vergroten van motivatie en betrokkenheid. Recente ontwikkelingen in generatieve AI bieden veelbelovende mogelijkheden voor interactieve en persoonlijke coaching; De Persoonlijke AI Praktijkcoach. Het doel van het prototype is het verkennen van mogelijkheden om deze technologie te gebruiken voor bovenstaande doelen, en daarmee de meerwaarde in het leertraject te onderzoeken.

Het project beoogt een Virtuele Al Werkbegeleider te ontwikkelen (hier: Al-Coach) die zorgprofessionals en studenten in staat stelt sneller en doeltreffender informatie uit verschillende informatiebronnen en leermiddelen te vinden. Hiermee verkorten we de zoektijd en verbeteren we de naleving van de juiste werkwijzen. De Al-coach draagt bij aan een hogere autonomie van lerenden en vermindert de begeleidingsdruk op praktijkopleiders. Naast ondersteuning tijdens opleiding en (simulatie)training, biedt de Al-Coach ook in de praktijk een snelle en laagdrempelige manier om het geleerde terug te vinden. Binnen enkele seconden vinden gebruikers tijdens het werk relevante informatie, zodat zij efficiënt en onderbouwd kunnen handelen. De doelstelling is het ontwikkelen van een bewezen effectieve VR-module waarmee zorgprofessionals worden getraind in effectieve communicatie met kwetsbare patiëntgroepen door gebruik van aangepaste communicatiestrategieën, eenvoudige taal, visuele ondersteuning en lichaamstaal. Dit wordt gerealiseerd door industrieel onderzoek naar cognitie-specifieke communicatiepatronen, experimentele ontwikkeling van technieken voor gesture recognition, en ontwikkeling van oefenscenario's in een bestaand VR training platform. De partners integreren hun producten in de RDL leerlijn "Contrasttoediening bij CT". De leerlijn volgt een patiëntcasus van CT-aanvraag tot de uiteindelijke beeldvorming met contrasteffect in een meerfase CT. Voor een zorgprofessional met simulatieonderwijs begint, is het essentieel dat de theorie begrepen wordt en als naslagwerk kan dienen. Cradeq en Anapptomy verzorgen deze theorie en het bijbehorende onderwijsplatform. Met gebruik van uitgebreide learning analytics zijn voorkennis en leeruitkomsten concreet meetbaar. Deze onderwijsplatforms zijn software-technisch TRL9, de nieuwe onderwerpen voor de leerlijn zijn TRL4/5. Onderwerpen zijn onder andere complicaties/contra-indicaties bij contrastgebruik (contrastallergie, nefrotoxiciteit, extravasaat, contrast in arterie), met nadruk op "Waarom?". Dit wordt aangevuld met de anatomie van relevante venen en varianten. De module ‘Infuus prikken’ van SIMtoCARE's haptische simulator sluit hier perfect bij aan. Op de haptische simulator kunnen de technische vaardigheden worden getraind en objectieve prestatieparameters worden gemeten, zoals tijdsduur, aantal pogingen, aanpriklocatie en de respons op huidreacties. Deze meetgegevens maken onderzoek naar leeruitkomsten mogelijk. Tijdens testmomenten worden relevante prestatieparameters verder gespecificeerd.

Kennis, kunde en procedures betreffende BLS worden samengevoegd via game-based e-learning en VR. Deze onderdelen kunnen geheel zelfstandig (zonder instructeur) worden afgerond door het zorgpersoneel. Voor het eerste deel van kennis logt de zorgverlener in op het betreffende LMS van het ziekenhuis. De diverse kennis onderdelen worden getraind via de game-based scenario’s van Medu.game. Middels realistische virtuele scenario’s kun je protocollen en handelingen oefenen in een veilige omgeving. Door de scenario’s heen worden ook test vragen gesteld. Wanneer relevant krijg je direct feedback van een virtuele expert. Inhoudelijk kan een virtuele bibliotheek met achtergrondinformatie en theorie ingericht worden. De score aan het eind van het scenario bepaald of je het scenario goed hebt afgerond. Via een VR-bril en de software van Serious XR, kan bovendien het protocollair handelen worden getoetst en indien nodig aanvullend worden getraind. Tijdens deze training wordt de gebruiker in een realworld scenario gezet, met alle bijbehorende stressfactoren (omstanders, lawaai, lastigvallers, etc) om ook omgaan met stress te trainen. Via handtracking wordt niet alleen de beoordeling van een patiënt gecontroleerd, maar ook het correct aansluiten en bedienen van een AED. Ook hiervan vindt een evaluatie plaats.

Het huidige simulatieonderwijs voor patiëntgerichte communicatie en consultvoering (C&C) is tijdrovend en kost veel inzet van mensen en middelen. Studenten voelen zich weinig competent doordat trainingsmogelijkheden beperkt zijn. Nieuwe digitale simulaties richten zich vaak op één aspect van competentietraining en missen aansluiting bij andere digitale en ‘fysieke’ simulaties in een (C&C) module of curriculum. Wij brengen een aantal digitale simulatie ‘puntoplossingen’ bij elkaar tot één module en in één leerpad, dat wordt gevolgd op een virtuele campus, die naadloos kan aansluiten op leeractiviteiten in de praktijk. Hiermee zetten we een stap in de richting van volledige competentieontwikkeling in een virtuele simulatieomgeving, zodat studenten zich vertrouwd voelen en bekwaam zijn voor C&C in hun eigen praktijk.

In het DUTCH-project SENSE hebben 4 bedrijven, een online opleidingscentrum en een hogeschool de krachten gebundeld om gezamenlijk een set van XR-communicatie simulaties te ontwikkelen en te valideren, vanuit een vernieuwend belevingsperspectief (psychologisch, fysiek, zintuiglijk en technologisch). Hiermee kan de student zelfstandig in een stimulerende virtuele leeromgeving competentie ontwikkelen, waarmee de druk op zorg en onderwijs wordt verlicht en kosten worden bespaard. Alle vier bedrijven zijn koploper op hun gebied en hebben aantoonbaar hun sporen verdiend met diverse XR-innovatietrajecten en het vermarkten van onderwijs simulaties. E-Infuse en Saxion hebben brede onderwijskundige en wetenschappelijke expertise in ontwerp en gebruikersevaluatie van onderwijs simulaties en hebben ruime toegang tot eindgebruikers. Tijdens de projectperiode worden er 3 ontwerp- en evaluatie-instrumenten ontwikkeld en gevalideerd waarbij beleving is gekoppeld aan leerdoelen en XR-omgeving. Op basis van 'belevingsrichtlijnen' worden 3 XR-simulaties voor Positieve Patiëntcommunicatie training iteratief ontwikkeld en getest met doelgroepen-eindgebruikers, apart en als set geïntegreerd op een virtueel ‘samen leren’ platform, en in een immersive room. De beoogde resultaten worden gerealiseerd door nauwe samenwerking tussen partners en parallelle uitvoering van activiteiten. We verwachten dat de producten na de projectperiode ingezet kunnen worden binnen DUTCH met op korte termijn opschaalbaarheid naar andere opleidingen in de zorg.

Het project XR-OK Blend richt zich op de ontwikkeling en validatie van drie XR-modules voor de opleiding tot operatieassistent (OA) aan de Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN). De modules zijn gericht op laagfrequente, midden- tot hoogcomplexe operatieve zorg en worden in cocreatie ontwikkeld met technologiepartners SyncVR Medical, The Simulation Crew en Simendo. Zeven ziekenhuizen uit de regio (Rijnstate, CWZ, Gelderse Vallei, Radboudumc, Rivierenland, Sint Maartenskliniek, Maasziekenhuis Pantein) leveren input als klankbordgroep om de modules te baseren op realistische casuïstiek. Het project sluit primair aan bij Werkstroom 1 van het DUTCH-programma (ontwikkeling gesimuleerde opleidingsmodules). De modules worden in het eerste jaar ontwikkeld en voorbereid voor implementatie. Vanaf februari 2027, wanneer studenten instromen in het tweede leerjaar, worden de modules in het curriculum geïmplementeerd en systematisch gevalideerd. De totale looptijd bedraagt 16 maanden. De resultaten zijn (1) drie XR-modules die aansluiten op Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA’s) binnen de OA-opleiding, en (2) een overdraagbaar implementatiemodel dat herbruikbaar is voor andere zorgopleidingen en regio’s. Hiermee levert XR-OK Blend een concrete bijdrage aan de nationale ambitie van het DUTCH programma om 50% van het werkplekleren te substitueren door digitale simulatie en aan de structurele versterking van het zorgonderwijs.

Het XR-Vertuele Patiënt Generator (XR-VPG) project ontwikkelt een baanbrekende Extended Reality leeromgeving voor anesthesiemedewerkers in opleiding. TrueSim B.V> leidt dit 24-maanden durende consortium met Erasmus MC Academie als validatie- en contentpartners. Anesthesiemedewerkers moeten complexe perioperatieve zorg beheersen, waarbij iedere patiënt uniek is in leeftijd, co morbiditeit, medicatie en fysiologische reacties. De huidige simulatietraining werkt echter met beperkte, statische patiëntprofielen, waardoor studenten onvoldoende worden voorbereid op de diversiteit en complexiteit van de klinische praktijk. Met de vergrijzing, multimorboditeit en steeds geavanceerdere medische procedures wordt deze uitdaging alleen maar groter. XR-VPG benut AI en deep learning om automatisch realistische en diverse patiëntscenario’s te genereren. De technologie maakt het mogelijk om eindeloze variatie in patiëntfenotypes te creëren, fysiologische reacties en soft-tissue deformaties realistisch te simuleren, farmacologische effecten van medicatie zichtbaar te maken en de moeilijkheidsgraad dynamisch aan te passen aan de leervoortgang van de student. Hiermee ontstaat een persoonlijke leerervaring die aansluit bij de ontwikkeling van de vereiste EPA’s. Het TRL-4 proof-of-concept laat zien hoe deze innovatieve aanpak studenten sneller klinische expertise laat ontwikkelen, fouten in de praktijk vermindert en hun zelfvertrouwen vergroot XR-VPG positioneert Nederland daarmee als koploper in technologie-ondersteund anesthesiologie-onderwijs en draagt direct bij aan een betere patiëntenzorg.

Effectieve communicatie is cruciaal voor patiëntveiligheid, waarbij miscommunicatie tijdens patiëntoverdrachten een hoofdoorzaak vormt van medische fouten. Uit onderzoek blijkt dat een groot deel van zorggerelateerde schade verband houdt met gebrekkige communicatie tussen zorgprofessionals. De SBARR-methodiek (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, Repeat) is een wereldwijde communicatiestandaard die fouten helpt voorkomen, maar traditionele training is tijdrovend en biedt beperkte oefenmogelijkheden. Het SBARR AI Communicatietrainer project ontwikkelt een innovatieve AI-gestuurde trainingstool waarmee anesthesiemedewerkers in opleiding veilig kunnen oefenen met gestructureerde patiëntoverdracht. De webgebaseerde applicatie zorgt ervoor dat gebruikers in een veilige setting onbeperkt kunnen trainen. De tool combineert realistische, spraakgestuurde simulatiescenario’s met geavanceerde AI analyse die real-time feedback geeft op communicatiestructuur, inhoud en communicatiestijl. Gebruikers kunnen de trainer gebruiken zonder speciale hardware. Dit stelt studenten en zorgprofessionals in staat hun vaardigheden gericht te verbeteren conform het 4C/ID-model. TrueSim B.V. (penvoerder) werkt samen met Amstel Academie en Erasmus MC Academie, waarbij technische AI-expertise wordt gecombineerd met onderwijskundige kennis. Het project levert een gevalideerd proof-of-concept (TRL 4) op dat direct inzetbaar is binnen EPA-gebaseerde opleidingsprogramma’s (MO-AM-2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9) en ondersteunt blended learning. Het project start oktober 2025 en levert een schaalbare trainingstool op voor Nederlands zorgonderwijs en internationale markten.

VerseUs BV (penvoerder) en Hanzehogeschool ontwikkelen een TRL-4 XR-leeromgeving waarin zorgprofessionals 1-op-1 oefenen met realistische digitale collega’s en patiënten; met empathische communicatie en non-verbale afstemming. In emotioneel beladen zorginteracties is de boodschap 70-90% non-verbaal; geloofwaardige expressie en respons zijn daarom cruciaal voor veiligheid, teamcommunicatie, patiëntveiligheid en zorgkwaliteit. Realisatie VerseUs brengt een uniek, in NL ongeëvenaard realisme in XR/AI-avatars dankzij een hecht team van industrie veteranen (25 jaar ervaring en awards in de internationale techwereld) die dedicated zijn hun 'best-of-class' tech en kunde in te zetten daar waar het het verschil maakt. Co-creatie met docenten en professionals; korte iteraties met vertical slice en performance-gates; privacy-by-design (incl. EU self-hosting & hoogste graad data security). Doelen & resultaten We leveren een werkende XR-AI leeromgeving waarin je 1-op-1 kunt trainen met de meest realistische, menselijke AI avatars in XR. Het project Luchtweg in Zicht wordt uitgevoerd door het consortium Enatom BV (penvoerder), LeQuest en Amsterdam UMC. Het consortium ziet kansen om luchtwegmanagement in combinatie met anatomische kennis beter en schaalbaarder te “onderwijzen” dan via traditionele methoden. De doelstelling van het project is om een innovatieve, web-based simulatiemodule voor luchtwegmanagement te ontwikkelen. Waarin studenten en zorgprofessionals zowel anatomische structuren bestuderen als de volledige procedure rondom luchtwegmanagement kunnen oefenen. De module combineert fotorealistische 3D-anatomie, interactieve simulaties en de bediening van beademingsapparatuur. Een deel van de content wordt in een XR-omgeving beschikbaar gesteld. Het project kent duidelijke mijlpalen: gezamenlijk ontwerp en bouw van interactieve leerpaden, ontwikkeling van 3D-content en prototype van het platform. Validatie met studenten en professionals vindt in elk geval plaats binnen Amsterdam UMC en UMC Groningen. Na optimalisatie wordt de definitieve module ingebed in curricula en op het DUTCH-platform. Het beoogde resultaat is een schaalbare, blended onderwijsoplossing die de opleidingscapaciteit vergroot, de druk op de klinische praktijk vermindert en de patiëntveiligheid verhoogt. Door de bundeling van didactische en software expertise (LeQuest), anatomische/klinische kennis (Amsterdam UMC) en technologische innovatie (Enatom) ontstaat een krachtige samenwerking die bijdraagt aan de (inter)nationale profilering van DUTCH.

De zorgsector kampt met een structureel tekort aan gespecialiseerd personeel, terwijl traditionele opleidingen sterk leunen op praktijkuren die moeilijk schaalbaar zijn en begeleiders zwaar belasten. Simulatieonderwijs biedt een oplossing, maar bestaande digitale tools functioneren vaak als losse, niet-communicerende systemen. Het CONNECT-project ontwikkelt en valideert een generieke, interoperabele leerlijn die 2D-training en XR-simulatie naadloos combineert voor de opleidingen van operatieassistenten, anesthesiemedewerkers en radiodiagnostisch laboranten. Hiermee legt het project de basis voor opschaling van opleidingscapaciteit en structurele kwaliteitsverbetering. De technische doelstelling is het realiseren van open-source interoperabiliteit tussen de 2D-omgeving van LeQuest, het XR-platform van SyncVR en de haptische technologie van SenseGlove, conform HOSA-richtlijnen en standaarden zoals eduID en Surfconext. Inhoudelijk worden high-fidelity XR-componenten (zoals een modulaire OK en elektrochirurgie) en bijbehorende 2D-modules ontwikkeld die breed inzetbaar zijn. Didactisch richt het project zich op methoden die zorgen voor effectieve leerdoelen en een consistente inhoudelijke en visuele leerervaring over alle platforms. Tot slot wordt een schaalbare architectuur ontwikkeld die als blauwdruk dient voor verdere implementatie, ondersteund door actieve kennisdeling met zorginstellingen, het DUTCH Technology Forum en externe partners.

Dit project is een samenwerking tussen LeQuest en Erasmus MC, met als doel het ontwikkelen van een 2D simulatieomgeving voor het gebruik van een bucky toestel binnen de radiologie. De aanleiding is het beperkte aanbod van simulatietrainingen voor bucky-onderzoeken, terwijl deze essentieel zijn binnen de EPA’s MO-RDL-1 en MO-RDL-2. De doelstelling is het creëren van een virtuele bucky-omgeving, een uitgebreide bibliotheek met simulatiemodellen en röntgenafbeeldingen, en modulaire simulatiemodules die aansluiten op de deeltaken binnen de genoemde EPA’s. De beoogde eindgebruikers zijn radiodiagnostisch laboranten in opleiding, tijdens nascholing of ter voorbereiding op geplande procedures. Het project wordt gerealiseerd in vier fasen: analyse van leerdoelen en gebruikersscenario’s met experts van het Erasmus MC, ontwikkeling van de simulatiemodules en visuele assets, validatie door experts, en een pilotstudie met zorgprofessionals. LeQuest levert expertise in simulatietraining en digitale leeroplossingen, terwijl Erasmus MC klinische kennis en onderwijsinnovatie inbrengt. Samen dragen zij bij aan de DUTCH-doelstellingen voor schaalbare, toegankelijke en modulaire simulatietraining in de zorg.

Het project richt zich op het versterken van praktijkleren voor operatieassistenten (OA) en anesthesiemedewerkers (AM) door middel van interprofessioneel simulatieonderwijs en telepresence-technologie. Het consortium bestaat uit UMC Utrecht (penvoerder) en Rods&Cones, die hun onderwijskundige en technologische expertise bundelen. De aanleiding is het toenemende tekort aan OK-personeel, hoge werkdruk en beperkte opleidingscapaciteit. Dit project integreert de Simulatie OK van UMCU en de telepresence-technologie van Rods&Cones in één blended leeromgeving waarin veilig oefenen en digitale toegang tot realistische casuïstiek elkaar versterken. De doelstellingen zijn: Vergroten van de opleidingscapaciteit door studenten frequenter toegang te geven tot realistische casuïstiek via simulatie en telepresence. Versnellen van het behalen van EPA’s door meer en diversere leermomenten te bieden. Creëren van modulaire, overdraagbare opleidingsmodellen die aansluiten bij CZO- en HBO-routes. Bevorderen van interprofessioneel leren door OA’s en AM’s gezamenlijk op te leiden. Borgen van uniformiteit en opschaling via koppeling met UMCU LMS en DUTCH platform. ? Beoogde resultaten zijn een modulair lesprogramma, validatie in vijf regionale ziekenhuizen, een afwegingskader per EPA en duurzame inbedding in curricula. Het project schaalt op van TRL 6 naar TRL 8 en levert een reproduceerbaar onderwijsconcept op dat bijdraagt aan capaciteitsuitbreiding, samenwerking en kennisdeling binnen en buiten DUTCH.

BeNOK en Saasen Meliora BV (Saasen Groep) hebben drie VR- scenario’s ontwikkeld voor de OK-werkomgeving. Het project richt zich op structurele inzet van deze scenario's in alle aangesloten ziekenhuizen via een gedeeld licentie- en toolkitmodel. Partners zijn BeNOK (als platform, geen onderdeel van consortium), Saasen Meliora BV (Saasen Groep) (inhoud/techniek) en vierziekenhuizen. Doel is het gebruikvan bestaande content te standaardiseren, op te schalen en toegankelijk te maken. Resultaat: >150 gebruikers/jaar, interoperabiliteit met leerplatforms, en overdraagbare infrastructuur voor andere regio’s. De behoefte aan regionale scholingvia VR-scenario’s is in kaart gebracht tijdens meerdere BeNOK expertbijeenkomsten en eerdere pilot binnen het ETZ, waarbij studenten en zorgprofessionals positief scoorden op leerervaring, toepasbaarheid en voorkeurt.o.v. traditionele bijscholing.

Doel In dit project ontwikkelen we in co-creatie met (toekomstige) zorgprofessionals en theorie- en praktijkopleiders OA en AM een configureerbare virtual reality (VR) trainingsmodule, gericht op het bedrijfsklaar maken van de operatiekamer. Partners Het consortium bestaat uit een multidisciplinair team van technische ontwikkelaars (Saxion XR Lab), onderzoekers (Saxion Lectoraat TH&C en XR Hub), theorieopleiders en studenten (Saxion Perioperatieve Verpleegkunde), praktijkopleiders en werkbegeleiders (MST, DZ, Isala) en een MKB-partner met expertise op het gebied van VR-toepassingen voor medische simulatietrainingen (ScenariX). Beoogde resultaten Het beoogde resultaat is een prototype VR-trainingsmodule met drie innovatieve componenten: a. Een realistische virtuele operatiekamer als interactieve sandbox-omgeving. b. Een framework voor automatisch gegenereerde scenario’s (procedureel genereren) c. Een gebruiksvriendelijke ‘node-based’ scenario editor voor opleiders om zelfstandig specifieke scenario’s te creëren. ?Plan van aanpak Dit projectidee valt onder industrieel onderzoek, waarbij de ontwikkelde module (TRL 4) getest wordt in een labomgeving met feedback van de beoogde eindgebruikers.

DUTCH werkt aan de ambitie om 50% van het praktijkonderwijs te vervangen door flexibel, individueel en realistisch simulatieonderwijs. Om dit mogelijk te maken zijn virtuele collega’s en patiënten nodig die zelfstandig én geloofwaardig kunnen communiceren met studenten, elkaar en hun omgeving. ? Dit project richt zich op het ontwikkelen van precies die interactieve virtuele leeromgeving. Samen met The Simulation Crew breiden we bestaande simulatietechnologie uit met: Autonome interactie tussen virtuele collega’s en patiënten Realistische reacties op de omgeving en context Emotieherkenning, non-verbale communicatie en passende animaties Onderzoek naar verantwoorde alternatieven voor grote commerciële LLM-diensten Een API volgens DUTCH-standaarden om de technologie breed inzetbaar te maken Het resultaat is een prototype trainingsmodule voor teamcommunicatie, waarin meerdere virtuele agents samen een realistisch zorgscenario vormen. Dit prototype wordt uitgebreid getest en gevalideerd met studenten, zorgprofessionals en DUTCH themagroepen. Alle opgedane kennis over teaminteractie, contextgevoelig gedrag, animaties en verantwoorde AI wordt actief gedeeld binnen en buiten DUTCH via demonstraties, whitepapers, rapportages en een eindvideo. Met deze ontwikkeling zet DUTCH een grote stap richting toekomstbestendig simulatieonderwijs dat tijd- en plaatsonafhankelijk, schaalbaar én praktijkgetrouw is.

Dit project beoogt de duurzame samenwerking in simulatieonderwijs in Noord-Brabant te versterken door een regionaal platform te ontwikkelen met gedeelde scenario’s, skillslabs en technologische partners. De focus ligt op Werkstroom 1 (Ontwikkeling van gesimuleerde opleidingsmodules), waarin VR- en Al-gestuurde scenario’s worden ontwikkeld die direct aansluiten op instroom en oriëntatie voor OK-functies. De resultaten omvatten een digitale bibliotheek met simulatiemodules, interoperabele koppeling van regionale skillslabs en structurele samenwerking met WARP. Door integratie in curricula en toetsing, borging via overlegstructuren en actieve kennisdeling binnen het DUTCH-netwerk, wordt zowel regionale verankering als landelijke opschaling gerealiseerd. In de regio zijn al diverse skillslabs aanwezig, maar deze vormen nog geen samenhangende of breed inzetbare infrastructuur. Dit project richt zich op het ontsluiten van dat bestaande potentieel via modulair scenario-gebaseerd onderwijs, passend bij de actuele opleidingsbehoefte in de zorgpraktijk. De ontwikkelde infrastructuur en modules zijn overdraagbaar naar andere regio's en inzetbaar buiten de OK-context.

Dit project ontwikkelt en integreert een hybride laparoscopische skills trainer binnen bestaande high-fidelity operatiesimulaties met als doel de technische en niet-technische vaardigheden van OK-teams te versterken door realistische operatiesimulaties voor crisissituaties in de OK verder te verrijken. Hiervoor wordt de LAP-X simulator van Medical X geïntegreerd met een bestaande high-fidelity manikin. Een opleidingsziekenhuis en Medical X ontwikkelen samen minimaal drie realistische scenario’s. Deze worden vervolgens getest met ten minste 40 professionals. Het project streeft naar meer dan 80% positieve gebruikersbeoordeling én objectieve verbetering van kennis en vaardigheden. Dit wordt gemeten direct na de training en na drie maanden follow-up. Binnen 16 maanden levert het project een gevalideerde, schaalbare (skills)training en een eindrapport met adviezen voor implementatie in curricula, inclusief aanbevelingen voor bredere uitrol. Deze innovatieve aanpak kenmerkt zich door de volledige integratie van laparoscopische vaardigheidstraining en multidisciplinaire teamtraining, ontwikkeld in nauwe co-creatie met eindgebruikers. De module is eenvoudig te integreren in bestaande curricula, internationaal opschaalbaar en draagt direct bij aan verhoogde patiëntveiligheid, hoger opleidingsrendement en duurzame verankering van digitale simulatie in de zorgpraktijk.

Het project "Inclusieve Communicatie voor Zorgprofessionals" ontwikkelt een gevalideerde en schaalbare VR-trainingsmodule voor het verbeteren van inclusieve communicatie in de gezondheidszorg. Daarbij focust het op communicatie met patiëntgroepen waarbij cognitieve beperkingen en taalproblematiek een rol spelen: mensen met dementie, afasie, lichte verstandelijke beperking en laaggeletterden. Partners zijn The Simulation Crew B.V. (penvoerder en technologieontwikkeling), Radboud Universiteit (onderzoek patiëntgroepen en communicatiepatronen), en Hogeschool Saxion (pilotstudie en evaluatie). De doelstelling is het ontwikkelen van een bewezen effectieve VR-module waarmee zorgprofessionals worden getraind in effectieve communicatie met kwetsbare patiëntgroepen door gebruik van aangepaste communicatiestrategieën, eenvoudige taal, visuele ondersteuning en lichaamstaal. Dit wordt gerealiseerd door industrieel onderzoek naar cognitie-specifieke communicatiepatronen, experimentele ontwikkeling van technieken voor gesture recognition, en ontwikkeling van oefenscenario's in een bestaand VR training platform. Het project levert een VR applicatie met vijf oefenscenario's, een effectrapportage van een pilotstudie, en gedocumenteerde patiënt- en gespreksmodellen als herbruikbare kenniscomponenten voor het DUTCH-ecosysteem.

SIMtoCARE en het Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen (UMCG) starten een gezamenlijk project van 18 maanden (met mogelijke uitloop tot 24 maanden) gericht op de ontwikkeling van realistische anatomische modellen met soft tissue segmenten, welke daarna gebruikt worden als basis voor de ontwikkeling van haptische simulaties. Het doel is om zachte weefsels zowel grafisch als haptisch natuurgetrouw te kunnen simuleren in een medische simulator. De anatomische modellen worden ontwikkeld door het 3D-lab van het UMCG en vormen de basis voor de verdere ontwikkeling door SIMtoCARE. SIMtoCARE ontwikkelt een soft tissue-module voor een medische simulator die flexibel en breed inzetbaar is binnen diverse medische simulatie procedures. Deze module houdt rekening met case-specifieke weefseleigenschappen, zoals stijfheid en textuur. Het UMCG zal de validatie verzorgen door middel van feedback van specialisten (i.o.), zodat de simulaties aansluiten bij de klinische praktijk. Het beoogde resultaat is een gevalideerde soft tissue-technologie voor het maken van modellen, en voor haptische simulatie, die reproduceerbaar, schaalbaar en medisch relevant is, en ingezet kan worden in meerdere medische opleidingsmodules.

Met het project Multimodale simulatiemodule voor OK-voorbereiding ontwikkelen Connec2 B.V., Gelre Ziekenhuizen en Ziekenhuisgroep Twente (ZGT) een innovatieve digitale trainingsmodule voor operatieassistenten (OA) en anesthesiemedewerkers (AM). Doel is om teamtraining in de operatiekamer (OK) realistischer, schaalbaarder en minder belastend voor de zorgpraktijk te maken. In een gedeelde Mixed Reality-omgeving kunnen meerdere deelnemers gelijktijdig samenwerken aan een gesimuleerd OK-proces: van het gereedmaken van de operatiekamer tot en met de afronding van de ingreep. De focus ligt op communicatie, taakverdeling, instrumentoverdracht en gezamenlijke patiëntpositionering, vaardigheden die cruciaal zijn voor patiëntveiligheid, maar nu vooral in de praktijk worden geleerd. Binnen 12 maanden wordt een gevalideerde, interoperabele multi-user simulatiemodule ontwikkeld en getest in een DUTCH Experimental Lab met minimaal 20 studenten en zorgprofessionals. De module wordt gekoppeld aan bestaande opleidingsstructuren (EPA's) en voldoet aan open standaarden voor uitwisseling van leerdata. Het project draagt bij aan de DUTCH-doelstelling om praktijkuren deels te vervangen door hoogwaardige simulatie, vergroot de opleidingscapaciteit en verlaagt de druk op OK-capaciteit en werkbegeleiders.
